Better half

My wife is now a blogger. She is way more interesting than I am. Go check out her blog at http://sammakinglists.blogspot.com

three more sprots showed up today.
1 garden peach
1 cherokee purple
1 isis candy cherry

Current Sproutage = 50%

already way better than last round. I think I kept the germination tray way too wet and they got "dampened off" due to excess moisture.

I've refrained from watering as much on these seeds and the turnout was much better.

Had another sprout this morning. Not the blondkopchen like I had expected, but a Garden Peach. I took it out of the sprouting container and put it under the grow light.

Current Sproutage = 35%
Two more sprouts today.

1 Isis
1 Ildi

and I think I see a blondkopchen poking out of the soil. I'll check again tomorrow.

Current Sproutage = 30%

I put all sprouts under a light I had from one of the fish tanks. Probably not the best grow light, but it will work until I can come up with something better.

To my surprise, there are a few tomato seedlings already sprouted.

1 Gardener's Delight
1 Cherokee Purple
1 Pink Ping Pong
1 Amish Gold

Current Sproutage = 20%

New Tomato Seeds Planted

I was disappointed with the first results of my tomato seed planting, so I tried some more. I'm not sure what will come of planting the seeds this late in June, but being in LA (zone 10) I think I can probably get away with growing tomato plants all year long.

The seeds were planted on 6/28/2009

2x Cherokee Purple
2x Amish Gold
2x Blondkopchen (or something like that)
2x Garden Peach
2x Gardener's Delight
2x Pink Ping Pong
2x Isis Candy Cherry
2x Ildi
2x Habaneros (just to see if I can get them to grow again)
